Rev. Dr. Chris Strickland

BIO:
Rev. Dr. Chris Strickland serves as the assistant pastor at Winder First United Methodist Church. He completed the Candler License to Preach School in 2023 and is currently in his first year of seminary at Candler Theological Seminary at Emory University. He also received his Doctorate of Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia, a Master of Educational Leadership from Augusta State University, and a Bachelor of Music Education from Shorter College.
Rev. Dr. Strickland has been serving in ministry for four years and has over two decades of experience teaching and directing choral music. His ministry philosophy aligns with his teaching approach: to meet people where they are and guide them on their journey of growth, ensuring they enjoy the process along the way.
Outside of ministry, he enjoys spending time with his family and their various animals. A dedicated Georgia Bulldogs fan, you’ll often find him at Sanford Stadium or supporting youth at FFA lamb shows.
