Nathan grew up in Suffolk, VA. He began piano lessons at age 12 and later went on to major in music at The University of Virginia's College at Wise, graduating in 2011. While there, he met his wife Nicky (who is also on staff).
Nicky and Nathan moved to Demorest, Georgia in 2013 after they were married, and then to Winder in 2014. They have two children, Natalie and Noah.
